Dear Damon,
Thanks for all
the fun you had at my expense in Rice Lake this weekend. It was
an honor for me to be a target for your humor. Don't worry, I
can take it. When given the opportunity I can dish it out as
well. Good luck with The Golf Channel gig. If you get up this
way again look me up and we'll play a round if the weather
allows. I could use some pro help with my swing.
Curt
Hi, I have seen your performances
many many times, and missed the last time
you were in Rochester, MN. I was just curious when you were
coming to the
midwest again! Maybe to Fargo, or Minnesota? Just think you are
an awesome
clown, and hope to catch another show soon!
Summer
I just wanted to tell you that my wife and i enjoyed
your show friday and saturday night in lincoln
nebraska. we were just wondering how you came out
with your leg, and if you are going to be ok. we hope
to see you in lincoln next year at pershing. we
loved your show that you put on with the kids and
the other stuff that you did to keep the fans
watching the rodeo.it was our first time out since
our daughter was born that we could get out for some
fun and you made a big about what life is realy
about.thanks and keep smiling.

Damon,
I want to thank you for the
spectacular show you put on Saturday night. Even after your
run-in with the bucking horse. We were sitting in section 4
where you landed. I must say, you are a true sportsman!! It
was quite obvious you were in terrible pain throughout the rest
of the evening, but continued on to make the show very
enjoyable! Thank you! Amy K.
Damon - When we got home from the NFR in Las Vegas we
immediately checked your website to see what happened to you!
I have been checking it for the last week or so, but there has
been no update. We wanted to tell you how fantastic and
funny we thought you were, and to tease you about pretending to
get hurt so that you would not have to pay for the bucket of
popcorn, but we are starting to think that it might not be so
funny! It was the first time we had seen you perform, and
hopefully not the last - because you are hilarious! We
hope that all is well with you.
God bless - Diane and Kevin - Puyallup, Washington
Damon,
I haven't heard any issues from the ESPN.com folks, so I think
what you have on your site is fine, with one exception. Somehow,
the spelling of my first name was changed when it was put on your
site and is incorrect. It should
be Neal and not Neil. That's all I can see that needs to be
changed.
Thanks,
Neal
Damon,
My wife and I had the pleasure of seeing you perform your magic at
the North Dakota State Fair. I would like to thank you for taking
the time to showcase the nations children, as well as bringing to
light the fact that our teachers and social workers are vastly
underpaid. We had a great time, and look forward to seeing you
again in the future. Thanks.
Steve
Hey Damon
Nice
sight and I hope we get a chance to play again. Thank you so very
much for the incite into my golf game and I am looking forward to
learning more. I have waited a long time to take my game to the next
level and I very much appreciate your help today at the course. Your
web site is really cool like all the pics. Once again thanks a
million for all the help today!

Damon,
Thank you soooo much for the laughter and the memories that I will
carry with me from this day forward. When I met you in Trinidad,
Colorado over the labor day weekend, I had just lost my job, and was
feeling about as low as an ant with arthritis. My wife and I had
seen your performance that day, and when we met you at the Rodeo
dance that night, it was like meeting an old friend that I hadn't
seen in a long time. Needless to say after talking to you for
awhile, my spirits started lifting, and my wife and I decided that
we would see your performance the next day too. Although we had
seen your routine the day before, and pretty well knew what was
going on, there was a difference in it. I was more in tuned to what
was going on, and the messages you were conveying. We enjoyed
ourselves so much, that I took my 85 year old dad to the Rodeo the
next day. He laughed so hard at your antics, and your one liners,
he told me, "Son, that boy is a nut. I could watch him all day.
What a hoot this is." Well Damon, it is for that reason I am
writing to you, and also to keep in touch. I feel I have made a
friend. Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Douglas
Trinidad, Colorado
Damon,
I seen you in Trinidad Colorado this
passed labor day weekend of 2004 my daughter liked you so very much
I came to the rodeo all three days you where here. Hope to get to
see you again I have never laughed so much as I did to watch you.
Thank you so very much for such a good show Blondie

Randy & I just want
you to know how much we enjoyed meeting you at Trinidad!! Your
philosophy hits home with us. We appreciated the way you worked the
crowd, the way you handled the kids, and what you had to say. You are
damn funny!! Randy also appreciated the fact that for once, the funny
man/barrel man was exactly where you needed him at all times, making
everything run smoother. As well as the way you took charge at times
when it needed doing!!
We are going to pass you along to the Dodge City Roundup Committee, as
well as any others that might ask for our suggestions, (and even those
that don’t ask for our suggestions!). Just know if you are ever in
Dodge City and need a place to sleep or a good meal, look us up!!

Damon,
My family and I really enjoyed the show Saturday night in Topeka. I
thought the quality of the event was high.
I am, however, very concerned about the health of the cowboy who was
injured while competing in
bronc
riding. I have not heard anything from the paper or the news as of
Sunday night. Can you tell us anything about him?

Damon,

attended the Sat. evening performance in Topeka. I have been
to quite a few rodeos in my life, and man, you were really great.

Damon -
My family and I had the
chance to see you perform in Brookings, SD last night - what a great
time! You were the highlight of our evening.
The kids ( 5 and 7) talked
about you all the way home.
My husband and I attend the
NFR every year. Hopefully we will see you performing there - you
definitely have the talent. You're top-notch!

Damon,
We just got
home from the rodeo and I really had to write for two reasons.
Number one, you are a riot! I got so many great jokes and one-liners
I plan to use at work! My husband and I love to go to rodeos anyway
but you were more than worth the price of the ticket even without
all the great cowboys!
Number two,
we are very concerned about the bareback rider who was injured. I
doubt if we will hear anything on the local news or in the
newspaper. We are praying for his quick recovery! It was especially
scary for us because my husband almost died Friday when he had a
very severe reaction to
Demoral
when he was having a routine
colonoscopy.
We both realized how quickly you can lose your life and we have
spent the past 36 hours thanking God for not taking Randy from me
just yet! Anyway, if you could give us an update on his condition we
would appreciate it!
Thanks again
for a wonderful evening of entertainment!
You are hilarious!

Mr. Rogers:
We attended
the
PRCA
Rodeo in Topeka, Kansas last night and enjoyed your performance
immensely. My five-year old daughter, Taylor, thought you were the
best Rodeo Clown ever! We've been to Cheyenne so, that's quite a
compliment.
Thanks, again
for an enjoyable evening.

Mr. Rogers,
Hello I am a
soldier stationed at Ft. Riley, KS and attended the show with my
family. My 9 year old girl suffers from autism and retardation and
she had a blast. The happiest I have seen her in a long while. She
followed your every move and tracked you all night. I work as a
flight medic and observed the piss poor medical response when the
cowboy got injured and taken from the arena. I liked seeing your
rapid recognition and response in securing that cowboys c-spine. Can
you let me know if he is okay, My little girl asked about him today
and I told her Cowboys are tough and I would try and find out from
the clown. Great show have a safe trip and good time in Fargo. Jim
Have a Happy
and peaceful day Jim

Dear Damon,
My family attended the rodeo Saturday night in Topeka, KS. My two
kids,
ages 8 and 4, loved you. They have talked about you non-stop since
the
rodeo. The youngest, my daughter, loved the part when you chased the
cotton
candy man. My son liked your trampoline act the best. Thank you for
a great
show!
Sincerely,

Hello Damon Rogers,
I just wanted to say thanks
so much for the entertainment you provided at the PRCA rodeo in
Topeka, KS the other night!!! You are a extremely funny and good at
what you do!
I could not have agreed more
with you more when you said that any thing a basketball player can
do, rodeo people can do better. I play basketball for my high
school, but my heart lies with my horse who I run barrels on. The
wonderful world of rodeo is the most exciting thing for me.
Good luck and keep having
fun with life and rodeo!!
From 1 rodeo fan to
another,

Damon,
Saw you at the Topeka, KS rodeo last Saturday evening - what a hoot!
Being a city boy for most of my life and only recently moving to the
country with neighbors and friends with horses, steers, llamas,
goats, geese, and turkeys as "pets", this was my first live rodeo.
I'm dating a country girl who's educating me and I have her to thank
for the tickets to the rodeo. In any case, I believe I'm developing
some new interests! (as a SPECTATOR; looks like rough work!) It was
a great event, I enjoyed it immensely, and I'll certainly be looking
forward to your next visit to Topeka or surrounding area. Thanks for
a great time!
I was a bit disappointed that we (the audience) weren't given any
update on the condition of the young cowboy who was hauled off on a
stretcher early - I sure hope he's OK.... and would like to send the
family a card if he's not.
Thanks again, and happy trails,
Bud

Just wanted to say hey. We loved the show, thought you was the
best part of it. Would love to see ya in action again.
I was the one
that give you the sip of beer at the show.
To bad you
had to work would have been fun drinking with you. Were going to
keep an eye on your schedule, if you get close again we will be
there. Thanks for now

Hi Damon
I was at the rodeo that was in Topeka. It was an awesome show. I
have grown up watching rodeos and was really excited to hear that
they were coming to Topeka. Some of my friends and I took another
friend there for her birthday and she had a blast. The riders kept
the momentum going and the stunts and other things that you did in
between keep us all entertained. I hope that the rodeo comes back to
Topeka soon. Also that you are with them when you do.
Thanks for the laughs

We saw the rodeo in Topeka on Saturday. My son and daughter helped
out with the skit. My son was the little blond boy (Jacob) who
through the dirt clods and wouldn't stay "dead". I just wanted to
drop a line and tell you how much we enjoyed your performance.
Seeing my kids out there in front of all those people, having fun
and enjoying your humor and the rodeo was one of the most memorable
family outings we have shared. You have a God given talent , and I
hope you have many years ahead of you. Thank you again from the
bottom of the Kahler family heart. We really enjoyed your show. I
couldn't think of a better place to be on a Saturday night than at
the rodeo with Damon Rogers!

Hi Damon,
I wanted to let you know how incredibly impressed I
was at your talent! Not too long into the show, I said to a friend,
"This guy has really found his calling. He is truly gifted!" As
the show went on, I was even more convinced of it! I had no idea a
rodeo could be so much fun. YOU ARE TOTALLY HILARIOUS! You are the
funniest person I have ever seen, even up against movie stars and
comedians.
When our kids were out there with you, I laughed
harder than I've ever laughed in my life. I laughed so hard, I had
cried off most of my makeup and I didn't even care, ha! I wish you
could have seen it from the audience perspective...the whole crowd
was looking at Jacob rise up and throw a dirt clod on your back and
as soon as you turned around, he played dead again. This happened 3
times and it was so funny when you turned around to look at him...it
looked like a real act. Please understand, we do not teach him to
be this way and he is not really a total brat. He just has a wild
sense of humor and is a free spirit. I felt like crawling into
myself because I had no idea what this child would do next. He is
the youngest of three and has always done things the other two never
thought of! Do you have a taping of this performance?? For your
sake, I hope you do! It was truly tremendous! And for my sake, if
there is a taping of this, is there any way I can get my hands on a
video??? Do you know? Even if I only had the part with the kids,
it would mean so much to me.
I don't know what highest success "rodeo clowns"
strive for, but whatever it is, you will reach it! Keep this next
part to lift your spirits when you need some encouraging...
Damon Rogers, YOU are to funny what Bill Gates is to
computers,
what Donald Trump is to business,
what Billy Graham is to evangelism,
what Pamela Anderson is to beach babes, and
what Alan Jackson is to country music!
We see people be average every day and it is such a
treat to see someone be excellent at what they do!
Your newest, truest fan,
Amy :)

DAMON,

CHANCE TO RETURN TO TOPEKA, I HOPE YOU CONSIDER. WE ALL ENJOYED
EVERYTHING. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE LAUGHS.

Hi,
I was at the Topeka PRCA Rodeo and wanted you to
know that I really enjoyed it. You did have really good
interaction with the announcer!!! The only thing that
disappointed me was that you ran out of the Dodge T-shirts right
before you got to my section DARN IT - surely you would have saved
one for me if you would have noticed me!!!!! Anyway I had a good
time and really enjoyed you!!!
|
|
Damon: Thanks for visiting with us this weekend. The folks who run
out
stations said you are one of our best guests in a long while. It was
a real
pleasure to meet you. I look forward to seeing you perform again
real soon.
Larry...Bismarck, ND.
p.s. did you pick up one of those rugs for yourself? Just wondering.
Thanks again for some good times.
|
I was at the rodeo on Feb 14 in
Bismarck ND. My husband and myself had the seats right next to the
announcer (excellent seats, I might add), we really enjoyed your
show. I was lucky enough to have the night off and also get the
tickets from my boss Frank who manages Sidelines which is across the
street from the Civic Center. I really hope that if you ever get
back to Bismarck that you would stop by and say "Hi" to all of us
there. I think you did a wonderful job and hope to see you again
sometime.

Damon,
It was a pleasure watching you in both places. The
Fargo Dome and the Bismarck Civic Center. Bismarck appeared to be
a tougher crowd to crack than Fargo.
Of my five kids, one joined me for the Fargo Rodeo
because he had an interest in the local bull rider, Pat. My son had
worked at the daycare where Pat's niece and nephew are enrolled.
Although he was there to watch Pat and his sister, who is a barrel
racer, he thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment brought to the crowd
in the form of one Damon Rogers.
Our family has a dry sense of humor, so your wit was
appreciated by the two of us.
Zach's only other connection to the cowboy life and
the Rodeo is through my best friend, Ron Bjorland. He worked the
exit gate in Fargo and Bismarck....we ran into you in the hallway at
the Kelly Inn in Bismarck Friday afternoon. Zach has joined me in
watching the local High School Rodeo, of which Ron was the president
for two years.
I wish we could afford to have you at our
Rodeo!!! Your talents are truly a gift, and a gift you generously
share with everyone whether as yourself or Rubberband Man.
Being a Rodeo Clown is your job. But being the
caring, humorous, helpful, understanding person you are is your
life. It is obvious you live life to the fullest every day. Even
though you take time off from the Rodeo Circuit to pursue leisure
time, you continue to share your gifts with others. You have
touched many lives whether in passing or taking the time to talk to
someone one on one.
May you forever remain young at heart and when the
body no longer is able to keep up with the heart, you will still
find a way to keep on giving.
It was truly a pleasure to meet you and to be able to
watch you in action both in the arena and out.
A picture just came to mind. I look at guys in jeans,
western shirts, boots, and a cowboy hat and see a man looked up to
as if in a military uniform, and just as handsome. The way my email
is laid out onscreen, your picture is up there on the top right
corner next to the email. In your own way, with your cowboy hat,
big baggy jeans, western shirt,....and tennis shoes! you are
someone to look up to with respect as well ... and just as
handsome...... You are a symbol of respect in your own rights.
The Rodeo Clown, Damon Rogers.
Thanks for being you!

Damon,
Don't know if you will remember who i am, but i was
the one with the words, "I will try anything once, twice if i like
it" on my shirt.
My entire family enjoyed the entertainment you
provided at the recent Verndale event. We all decided that it
wouldn't have been nearly as fun if you hadn't have been there.
You truly are a remarkable person with amazing skills.
We will be looking forward to seeing you at the
Alexandria event in April.
God Bless you and keep you safe.

Hi Damon,
Just a quick note to let you know that I enjoyed you at the
Bullarama here in Verndale this past Friday and Saturday night. You
put on a very entertaining show... The whole show was
awesome...riders, announcer...bull fighters...music and you...be
careful on the next trampoline you get on though :) Any thanks for
the plug for the teachers since that is what my son just graduated
from college to pursue. :)
I listened to you on stage Saturday night when you talked about the
pride of our small community. You are right about that...young and
old alike...I was amazed at all the people that came out to support
the Sundbys first try at something on this scale and it made me
proud to see so many familiar faces as well as all the new faces
brought to visit our community. I am on our cities council and
seeing progress and growth is what it is all about. My nephew and
his fiancé were the ones you had on stage Saturday evening and we
are proud of his choice to go and represent our country in this
crazy mixed up world. I had intended this to be short...sorry to
have gotten so windy but again...it was good to have you in
Verndale!! hope you can make it back again!
